Alaska Equine
Rescue is an all-volunteer, 501(c)3 non-profit organization whose mission is to help
starving, neglected and abused hooved animals in Alaska, especially horses. They try
to prevent future instances of starvation and neglect through a network of education and
teamwork.
We have volunteered for this
wonderful group for a number of years now and we really enjoyed fostering horses entrusted
to their care for rehabilitation and rehoming. |

Full Circle Farm has a WONDERFUL Certified Organic
Community Supported Agriculture program.
You can arrange for small, medium,
or large boxes of fresh, certified organic produce, customized to your liking, each week
or every other week. The base boxes are plentiful and they have a large list of items
available for additional purchase from their Green Grocer list. They have several pick-up
locations throught Alaska and around Seattle and King County in Washington state.
The selection is plentiful and the prices are affordable, especially when one considers
shipping is included. Plus, they guarantee all their products will arrive in tip top
condition. You won't get that service from your local grocer! Visit their website for more
information. IF YOU JOIN, PLEASE PUT "H & L FAIR" IN THE REFERRAL
BOX SO THEY KNOW WHERE YOU HEARD ABOUT THEM! This helps us keep our costs down as
they offer a free small box (less shipping) to members that refer new members.
Keeping our costs down allows us to continue to enjoy and share this great program with
others and concentrate on paying Heather's medical bills.
We are considering
volunteering as a new pick-up site for Full Circle Farm's CSA program. If you
live, work, or travel near us and you are already a member or wish to join the CSA program
as a new member, please be sure to email csa@fullcirclefarm.com and let them know you
would like to be added to the wait list for Western Wasilla/Hollywood/Knik Goose Bay/Big
Lake. In the meantime, they have 1 available pick-up site in Wasilla (the 2nd is already
full). |
